Abstract

SMK PAB 12 is one of the institutions engaged in education. In the implementation of the Poor Student Assistance (BSM) at SMK PAB 12, the school often faces problems in determining the recipients of the Poor Student Assistance where not all students from poor families can receive the Poor Student Assistance Program (BSM). And still using the manual method which states that BSM data management is not efficient, especially in terms of time and the number of iterations of the process which can actually be more efficient. Management of BSM data that has not been accumulated using the database optimally and has not been maximally computerized, causing difficulties in data processing which causes the length of the process of determining BSM acceptance so that it can interfere with the student learning process. To overcome the problems faced by PAB 12 Vocational School in determining the recipients of the Poor Student Aid who have met the criteria for selecting poor student assistance, not all of them will be recipients of the Poor Student Aid. So that in the selection of recipients of the Poor Student Aid must require a Decision Support System (SPK) for determining BSM that utilizes computer technology, the processed data will be computerized so as to facilitate the processing and shorten the completion time while improving the quality of decisions in determining students who receive BSM.
